First 24 Hours

  • Keep the vehicle completely dry
  • No water contact at all
  • Do not touch or wipe the surface

After 24 Hours (Up to 7 Days)

  • Water exposure is fine
  • You may rinse with clean water if needed

Avoid for 7 Days

  • No soap, chemicals, or cleaning products
  • No washing, scrubbing, or pressure washing

Washing After 7 Days

  • Car washes that use brushes

  • Any wash that involves physical contact with the paint

Hand Washing (Recommended Method)

Pre-Rinse

  • Rinse loose dirt using a hose or pressure washer
  • Keep a safe distance of 7–10 feet

Two-Bucket Method

Bucket Type Purpose
Soap Bucket pH-neutral car shampoo (car-specific only, no dish soap)
Rinse Bucket Clean water for rinsing mitt
